Gill Puckridge was born in Scotland but left the UK when she was eighteen. She lived in Mallorca and mainland Spain for several years before moving to South Africa.

 

Terrified by the thought of turning sixty, Gill decided to run away from home and see the world. Several years later she is still traveling, working when funds run low. So far she has lived in China, Ecuador, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Fiji, Honduras and Mexico and has explored many other countries. She’s a backpacking traveler, not a five-star tourist.

 

Amongst myriad other interests, Gill is passionate about scuba diving; she qualified as a Divemaster at the age of sixty-three. She also loves yoga, ziplining, hiking, volcanoes, bumpy plane journeys, white water rafting, painting, reading, writing, repurposing old furniture, chocolate and wine.

 

Gill currently uses Mexico as a base between adventures.
